Changing landscapes in health data sharing

Time: 15.00-16.00

Venue: The Congregation, Vaughan House, Portsmouth St, Manchester M13 9GB

The Greater Manchester Connected Health City invite you to a seminar looking at the Changing landscapes for health data sharing across the region.

The environment around health data is changing all the time. This year we have a new Data Protection Act coming in alongside the European General Data Protection Regulation. The DevoManc project brings health and social care organisations working more closely together including consulting the public around data sharing. Health policy is also changing in response to new technologies, innovations, and pilot projects being implemented around the country.

To explore this fluctuating landscape we have convened an expert panel to discuss what these changes mean for health informatics at the University of Manchester.

Our speakers:

  • Chris Alderson (Solicitor, Hempsons)
  • Harry Evans (Policy Analyst, The Kings Fund)
  • Steve Skelton (Strategic Head of Policy & Information Services, Stockport Council)

This seminar will be an opportunity to hear from a range of specialists and pose any pressing questions you may have regarding the future of health data sharing across the region.
