Ethics in Digital Research

Do you use social media and the Internet for your research? Have you thought about ethical issues?
This workshop explores ethics and how it relates to your current (and potential future) digital research activities. In particular, it will cover the following topics:
- types of on-line social research
- public versus private materials
- access and permission
- consent and data ownership
This half-day workshop is of particular interest to Social Science, Arts and Humanities students whose research involves working with on-line materials in various digital, internet or social media domains.
