Manchester Connected Health Ecosystem CHC Meeting

The next meeting of the Manchester Connected Health Ecosystem will be organised in collaboration with the GM Connected Health Cities Hub. Officially launched at this years NHS Expo, the Department of Health's groundbreaking £20million initiative will see four Northern city regions using data and technology in a revolutionary new way to help improve patient care and ultimately save lives.
Bringing together academia, NHS & Social Care, and industry, the Greater Manchester CHC programme will focus on two care pathway redesign projects:
- Building Rapid Interventions to reduce antimicrobial resisTance & over-prescribing of antibiotics (BRIT) (led by Prof. Tjeerd Van Staa, UoM)
- A Learning Health System for stroke care in Greater Manchester (led by Dr Adrian Parry-Jones , UoM & Salford Royal NHS FT)
In addition, GM CHC will seek to engage & involve the public to build trust and civic participation, working with data custodians and existing infrastructure at local, regional and national level to create linked-data critical masses for deeper understanding of health in defined populations.
The event on 3rd November will be an opportunity to learn more about the GMC CHC programme, and explore the ways in which your organisation, business, or institution might benefit from engaging with this exciting and ground breaking piece of work. The meeting will focus on engagement opportunities associated with the two care pathway redesign projects.
