Spreading Innovations and Improvements in Cardiac Care

Venue: Mercure Hotel, Piccadilly Manchester

The Greater Manchester AHSN is working jointly with the AHSN Network and 2Eqipp Ltd to convene a masterclass on Innovations and Improvements in Cardiac Care.

The class will be led by Prof Balram Bhargava, Jugaad Innovation Pioneer and Internationally renowned Cardiologist from the All India Inst of Medical Sciences and Stanford University.

The class will also be showcasing the programme of work on Atrial Fibrillation and Stroke Prevention  across the AHSNs as well as the NHS England Tariff supported Innovation by Alivecor: the Kardia Mobile ECG device.  2Eqipp is using the masterclass to launch 2 segments of related work as follows:

  1. They will be working with the AHSN Network to help scale up the adoption of Alivecor Kardia Mobile ECG Device in General Practices and in Cardiology Departments in Acute Trusts.
  2. They are developing learning resources, which they will use to provide training support for General Practices.

The class will also be live-streamed so that GPs unable to attend in person are able to take in sessions of the day remotely.  Podcast sessions can later be used as Protected Time learning at General Practices. NHS England has now provided funding to support the adoption of Med Tech innovations in Primary Care as well as for training for all grades of staff in General Practices.

A special rate of £250 per delegate is being offered to CCGs, GP Federations and General Practices.  Live-streaming/podcast log in fees are listed in the brochure
