Improving health through digital innovations

Submission Deadline: 18th April 2018, midnight

Funding Available: £700,000

The digital health technology catalyst, created under the government's Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, aims to address challenges around the development  of digital health innovations. Innovate UK has up to £8 million to invest in new technology, seen as a significant opportunity to improve outcomes for patients and at a lower cost.

Projects could be in a number of priority areas for health services, including mental health services, cancer diagnosis and treatment, emergency care, diabetes reduction, management of primary care workload and enabling patient choice. They could also include health services to maintain or improve care while reducing costs.

A range of technologies is welcomed including AI and machine learning, virtual reality, IoT, sensors, informatics and data analytics, and could help clinical decision making, help patients with treatment, improve disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and long-term care.

The competition is now open. Find out more
