A publication by the National Institute for Healthcare Excellence has been released detailing the research, development and application of Smartinhalers for treating Asthma.

The Smartinhaler technology is intended to be used in community settings to monitor patient usage and share this data with clinicians. Using cloud-based functionality, the Smartinhalers can give reminders to the user and monitor their adherence to treatment.
